About Debby Larkin & Jeff Stout
Debby Larkin regularly entertains audiences in Boston MA, Newport RI, and her home town of Pittsburgh PA. She has performed internationally in Italy, Barbados, Scotland, and Spain to name a few. Her humor and charm ingratiates audiences wherever she performs.
She swings in the style of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Anita O’Day and has the subtle coolness of Julie London and Peggy Lee. She considers all of these great singers to be among her strongest influences. Debby has a great respect for the composers of the Great American Songbook and has a “Natural” feeling for the Blues Genre’ including the styles of Dinah Washington, Bessie Smith, Jimmy Rushing, B.B. King, and Bonnie Raitt.
She is a musician’s favorite and in demand, among the selective jazz set!
Jeff Stout has played solo trumpet and recorded with the great “Buddy Rich Band” Gary Burton and has appeared with such jazz greats as Mel Torme’, Buddy Tate, James Williams, Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney, Joe Lovano, Curtis Fuller, John Scofield, and Kurt Elling – to name a few. He also tours with Al Kooper – of “Blood, Sweat & Tears” fame.
In addition to his teaching schedule as a long time Professor at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he often performs and teaches internationally.
This husband and wife team and their band have been performing together for many years. This will be apparent as you enjoy listening to them and let yourself be entertained by their exciting performance full of energy, talent and instinctual interaction.

About Sunday Night Jazz
As legendary as The Press Room itself, the Sunday Night Jazz series has been a staple of the Seacoast jazz scene almost forty years. Born out of Press Room founder Jay Smith’s admiration for pianist Tommy Gallant, the weekly series boasted a house rhythm section of Gallant, Jim Howe, and Les Harris Sr. Across hundreds and hundreds of shows, the trio backed a rotating cast of local, regional, and nationally-recognized players.
For the past decade pianist Ryan Parker has carried the torch, bringing the storied tradition to a new generation of players and listeners, and showcasing some of the best jazz in the Seacoast at The Press Room every Sunday night. Current house band, featuring Ryan Parker, bassist Keala Kaumeheiwa, and drummer Les Harris. Jr., lays down the rhythm most evenings.
